As we crossed over into Wisconsin at Duluth into Superior, we headed south to spend a couple days at Crex Meadows State Wildlife Area. The wildflowers were beautiful and it made for a very enjoyable tour along the dike roads. This Bumble Bee was collecting nectar from the Butterfly Weed.

We then drove straight east to Three Lakes and the Nicolet Forest for a day and a half of exploring for northern birds and plants. It was very quiet in the woods, as usual with only Hermit Thrushes, Ovenbirds, Red-eyed Vireos and a few warblers singing.

We then went to Green Bay to visit the dentist and then the oral surgeon to pull Ida's cracked wisdom tooth. A little more wisdom gone. We then took a day trip to Sheboygan and up the Lake Shore. There were many Lesser and Greater Black-backed Gulls, plus Boneparte's, and other common gulls.

We stayed at Celebration Church for a few days and had beautiful sunsets each evening. Ty did some yard work for a few hours each day.

On our way to Madison for a two week stay, we stopped and birded at Horicon Marsh. The Black-necked stilts have become almost common, as it was only a few years ago a rarity that everyone came to see.
