Exploring nearby Livingston, MT

 

A nearby cemetery has been a great place to bird with large trees.
Great Horned Owls have nested here over the years.  This owlet perched on headstone.

Owlet number two close by.

Owlet flys up so they can rest in peace.

Long-billed Curlews encountered in grasslands at 5,000 foot altitude

We saw eight Curlews within a mile

She carries rodents continually to feed her foursome

Crow chases after her. (note extremely red plumage on western rufous morph  Red-tails)
