Lake Okeechobee +




We spent the end of October based at South Bay on Lake Okeechobee.  The county park here is very peaceful and we were able to walk to the dike each day to bird.

One of our day trips we drove east to Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge and Green Cay Nature Center and Wetlands in Boynton Beach.

Another day trip took us south of Clewiston on Highway 835.  We saw lots of birds on our way toward Stormwater Treatment Area #5.

Beautiful sunsets each night and now we are off to Fort Myers Beach for the next two months.
