FMB - Part 4 . Wildlife Encounters at Indian Creek

Great Blue Heron preens atop the Monkeypuzzle Tree

Our time here at Fort Myers Beach is coming to a close.  It's amazing the wildlife that can be found in the urban setting at Indian Creek RV Resort.  Here's an overview of some of our encounters and you will notice there are no eagles.  Don't worry, we are going to do a blog with just eagles.

Queensland Umbrella Tree - red fruit

Tricolored Heron with tiny fish - not enough for lunch

Great 'Egret

Double-crested Cormorant

Northern Harrier fly-over

Now this is a meal!  Great Blue Heron

Blue Jay - not a common bird here

Belted Kingfishers courting

Courting ritual-bills locked

The pair take a break - female has the rusty belt

Great Blue Heron, White Ibis and Great Egret share the tree

And the fishing hole

Brown Pelican yawning, Double-crested Cormorant

Snowy Egret all ruffled up

Little Blue Heron lifts a crest

Christmas tree angel - Osprey landing

Blue Crab in Indian Creek

Red-shouldered Hawk breaking branches

Adding to the nest at the edge of the park

Osprey chases off Fish Crow from his favorite perch

Pileated Woodpecker flies over daily

Gopher Tortoise

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonder filled New Year.
Love & Prayers,
Ty & Ida Baumann
