Green Bay to Madison

We spent the month of July in Green Bay and took day trips to Sensiba Wildlife Area, the Cat Island trail off Lineville Road, Horicon National Wildlife Refuge, the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary, Van Patten Road near Shiocton, and even the yard of Celebration Church where we were camping.  Birds and wildlife can be found anywhere you look.

We spent a couple days camping out in my sister's yard near Westfield.  While we were sitting outside, a pair of large fawns walked by checking us out.   We were also serenaded by a House Wren setting up a late nesting in a box.

We are having a fun time in Madison visiting with our son Troy and wife Carmen.  Walking the great trails by Lake Farm Campground to Lake Waubesa.

Before you know it, we will be heading south to Mission, Texas to take part in the Fall Hawk Watch at Bentsen Rio Grande Valley State Park.

  1. So neat to catch up through your blog. I was watching a movie tonight called Next and felt compelled to closely watch the credits which scrolled in reverse. Sure enough I found Travis your son. I have MANY splendid memories of you and pray you have safety in your many travels. I'm still delivering mail in Appleton and might be switching routes again soon. God bless your family!
