Home and Away from Livingston,MT

 

Another beautiful Sunrise!

Milkweed pods

Canada Goose flocks looking for feeding areas

Fresh cut field draws grazing geese

New backyard bird lands above feeders.

Cooper's Hawk checking for birds at the feeder, literally running back and forth on the overhead cable

Drops down to feeder but everything is hiding!

Western Wood-Pewee comes into yard looking for insects.

The deer didn't eat all of our sunflowers which are attracting butterflies and bees.

Neighborhood White-tailed doe eyes the apples above

She finds the stone to give her a leg up to reach the apples.

We look for birds everywhere we go.

Willow Flycatcher at the cemetery

Red-tailed Hawk takes flight.


No mistaking the I D on this raptor.

Juvenile Tree Swallows home reunion

Ferruginous Hawk looking for ground squirrels

Hunting juvenile Bald Eagle flies over Reservoir

Flushing Sandhill Cranes...

and flocks of shorebirds

Visited Martinsdale Reservoir for the first time.
Very productive for migrating birds.

Long-billed Curlew, Marbled Godwit and Whimbrel

Franklin's Gull and White-faced Ibis

Cow Moose grazing on lush irrigated pasture in Shield's River Valley

Mule Deer fawn

Red Fox getting up in the world, hay bales afford elevated rodent lookout.

Good place to rest.

Stopped at Sacajawea Park to check on "our" juvenile Osprey

Mom brings more branches into the nest.

It's time for you to move out?

I'm flying, I'm flying!   Notice the speckled feathers,  
We got to witness the "Maiden voyage" of a flight around the park.

Dad gives a victory flyover



Landing on the adjacent pole with both parents cheering!


Another adventurous two weeks of enjoying God's creation!
